Canon lens and dentistry

A half year ago I had to fix quickly a 24-70 f2.8 II – has been dropped, and one of the three cast aluminium (zamac?) guides of the zoom barrel has broken. No part available, so, to make possible for the owner, to use the camera, till the parts arrive, I repaired by GLUEING that metal part with a 2 component glue, called: „Poxipol”. This funny thing is available only in Romania, but it’s great. After 6 months I could not disasseble the guide from the barrel. I tried with screwdriver, with pliers, gentle and less gentle : does not move. And then I remembered, that I have got some dentistry instrumemnts from my friend.

I grabed one of the most dangereous looking tool, a lance.

And it worked!

I dont want to imagine what they do with that tool in a hospital….
